The AVANTI initiative engages with Ministries of Agriculture around to world to facilitate a self-assessment of their capacities for results-based management – the Agricultural Scan (AG-Scan).

Now that we have held eight AG-Scans globally, this panel explored what lessons have been learnt from the facilitators, how the AG-Scan has impacted the work of those who’ve taken part and how the initiative fits within the wider SDG landscape.

About the event

During the e-panel we heard from:

  • Expert facilitators from the various AG-Scans, who shared surprising outcomes, opportunities and lessons learnt from their scan experiences.
  • Representatives from the Ministries, who participated in the AG-Scans on what the process means for them and how it has changed their work.
  • The AVANTI Advisory Board, who connected the dots between facilitators and participants, and built on the meaning of such in-country experiences for global dialogues towards the pursuing of the SDGs, and how we can continue moving forward with the lessons learnt.
